Biography

Mr. Ikerd is a broadly experienced licensed professional engineer with over two decades of experience in the A/E/C/O-FM industry. His diverse career includes but is not limited to experience in both design and construction of schools, medical buildings, multi-family residential developments, parking garages, dormitories, municipal buildings, churches, warehouses, supermarkets, libraries, laboratories, and office buildings. These project types included due diligence studies, renovations, new construction and historic preservation. Mr. Ikerd’s career spans every job description from designer to project manager and firm owner. He has the hands-on experience to provide technical investigations, analysis, expert reports and testimony toward the resolution of commercial litigations cases. This would include surety matters. His analysis areas have addressed code compliance, construction claims, project delivery methods and professional liability.  

Mr. Ikerd is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on 3D Parametric Modeling. Mr. Ikerd currently serves on the board of directors for the AGC/AIA BIMForum, and he chairs their BIM Execution Plan (BxP) Taskforce. Mr. Ikerd also actively serves on the Level Of Development (LOD) Specification Taskforce and is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
