Overview

The Lake Conroe Water Treatment Plant is Montgomery County’s solution for using 30% less groundwater from their aquifer. Phase One of the plant was commissioned in 2012 by the San Jacinto River Authority with a cost of $400 million. Most of the structure is cast-in-place concrete. IKERD received contract drawings from the General Contractor, McCarthy, and after identifying and calculating each concrete lift, produced individual drawings for each lift. The firm also modeled the structure in Revit for the contractor’s use in construction.
