UNC at Chapel Hill – Mary Ellen Jones Renovation

The Mary Ellen Jones building, a research lab first opened in 1978, is an 11-story renovation project that includes "replacement of the pre-cast concrete exterior with a new glass curtain wall system, as well as a building-wide replacement of its mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems."

Services Performed: On the Mary Ellen Jones renovation project, IKERD provided Electrical BIM services to Triangle Electrical Services, Inc out of Chapel Hill, NC. This was for the coordination of MEPFP systems under the management of Kirlin Carolinas, LLC over the entire BIM process.
